![]() I was left with a tarp on my door for the day until he could get a temporary and some plywood. After he ripped my door and side lights out he realized the new door was too big. So I waited until January 27th 2023 for an installer to finally come out and install the door and side lights. Come to find out in November, they had no installers. I made several calls to Lowes and no answers. October came around and I started wondering where my door was. So another employee came out and measured for the single unit door and side lights. And after the installer pulled all of the trim off the door that was not replaced. This was determined in July of 2022 when the windows were being installed. First, the door and side lights were ordered as a separate unit and could not be installed. ![]() Dealing with the company has been a nightmare. As of today Apr 2023, I still do not have the door and side lights. I purchased 13 windows and 1 door from Lowes in January 2022 plus installation. We are asking Lowes to reimburse us for the price we paid for this lemon and defective Whirlpool washer. The failed washer from Lowe's is only 2yrs 4 mos old and is considered a "lemon appliance". The warranty does not cover our hardship or costs which were extreme enough we had to purchase a new washer on due to buildup of uncleaned laundry. It is now day 4 and we have not been contacted so ************ PP rep essentially lied to me. Lowes Protection Plus rep stated they would elevate our case to higher **** for a possible buy out and stated we would be contacted within 2 business days. All Lowes did was offer a $50 gift card which did not cover our costs or time. Our work schedules and local high crime rate prevented us from using a laundromat to wash our laundry. The last repair took from to to complete and as a result we had to purchase a new washer since our laundry was accruing. We also had to cancel planned trips to be present for these repairs. We went without a working machine for more than 3 weeks because Lowes and *** did not stock the parts. On the first repair the *** rep stated they would only work on the washer if it was relocated to the garage and insisted they could not repair it except in the morning so I had to take time off work. ****** needed multiple repairs and visits by Lowe's repair vendor known ******************* Specialists on: Failed gear box Failed elect control & drain pump Failed detergent tray Failed detergent tray sensor and elect control (2nd failure) Replaced failed detergent tray sensor Due to ongoing technical issues we were faced with hardship of uncleaned clothing, time and effort to remove the defective washer from home for repairs on 3 different occasions. Purchased a Lowes Protection Plus Warranty in April 2022. Purchased a Whirlpool washer from LOWES for $809 less tax. Obviously the warranty does not live up to the Repair Quick on the brochure cover. We then went to Lowes and bought a new Maytag dryer which will be delivered Saturday, April 22. My husband moved the washer and dryer back in place. He brushed past my husband and left the house. My husband then told him that he had better control himself or leave. At that point I asked that he be more careful with the washer and he glared at me saying Im not saying anything while clearly angry at me. My husband turned on the dryer where upon all the displays lit up and turned on the machine to show that the basket tumbled, explaining that the only issue was that no heat worked on any setting. When asked why he needed to move both appliances to access the dryer he told us that he needed to check the dryer outlet which is directly behind the dryer to determine if the dryer had power to it. In the meantime, the diagnostic technician pulled out the dryer and shoved the washer next to it into a free standing cart next to the washer causing a ***** in the drywall. ![]() When asked how long that would take we were told usually about three weeks. we were told that the warranty company required that it be shown proof that a part was needed before the part could be ordered and only after permission to purchase the part would an actual repair appointment be scheduled. When asked, he informed us that he would only be doing a diagnostic and not a repair. When the repairman arrived he had no repair equipment and only an ohm meter. ![]() An appointment for repair was scheduled for April 20, 2023. We got an incident number via email 23304712DF. On April 17, 2023, my husband called the phone number listed to report that the dryer had quit heating. The plan covered a new Maytag washer and dryer.
